Andy Duffy

Andy is an actor and writer. He studied Acting, Theatre and Performance at The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester and continued his studies in Comedy Writing and Performance at Salford University.

Andy loves dance and music and sings in various choirs. He particularly enjoyed performing at Kenwood House with Candoco Dance Company. In 2019 he co-wrote A Part of Me, which was performed at The Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.

He has acted at The Lowry, Salford, 53Two in Manchester, written an audio piece for Oldham Playhouse and performed his own comedy set live on stage for BBC OUCH at the Edinburgh Festival in 2019. In 2023 he wrote, directed and acted in a short comedy film for Pathfinders, part of the Neuromuscular Alliance of MDUK.

Andy enjoys quizzes, is a passionate sports fan and there’s not much he doesn’t know about tennis football and Rugby League.

Andy has been involved with Triple C since graduating in 2017 and credits them with giving him the confidence and self -belief to grow as a performer. He is an Ambassador and Focus Group member and was delighted to join the Board in 2023.

In 2022 he wrote the DANC Christmas advertisement.

Since 2023 he has been working under the leadership of Ged and Nickie Miles Wildin, facilitating Youth Theatre Sessions. He loves working on this and believes firmly in the power of The Arts to develop confidence in young people.
