HETV Opportunity (Applications Are Now Closed)

Free High-End TV Remote Trainee Programme:

This opportunity is for deaf, disabled, autistic and neurodivergent applicants who are at an early stage in their career.

Join the HETV Remote Trainee Programme to be part of the making of Ralph and Katie, the spin off drama series that follows the lives of the characters of Katie and Ralph who we first met in The A Word.

TripleC DANC is teaming up with ITV Studios and BBC Drama to offer behind the scenes access for those interested in how a High-End TV production is made. This 6-month remote programme is specially aimed at deaf, disabled, autistic and neurodivergent people. DANC will facilitate access and support participants throughout the process.

Who can apply?

The programme is for people at an early stage in their career. You may have a few TV/film production credits. Or you might have transferable skills from other areas. This might include theatre and the arts, but equally it might involve relevant skills that you have gained whilst working or volunteering in other sectors. You must be aged 18+.

This programme will take place remotely, with participants being given confidential access to key documents, from pre-production to the final edit of the first episode. Participants will also have access to meetings (via Zoom, roughly every 2 weeks) with various heads of departments as they discuss scripts, location scouting, scheduling, budgeting, set design, and wardrobe. Participants should not expect to be assigned any tasks; this is simply an exciting front row seat to the making of a drama! The programme runs from mid-January 2022 for 6 months.

To be considered for this programme, please complete an expression of interest form (below) and email it with your CV to: [email protected] with HETV in the heading. If you apply by audio or video please cover the questions set out in the expression of interest form. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected] (please note that you may not receive an immediate response)
