The Creative Community Project
- Would you like a creative outlet to explore new opportunities and make new friends?
TripleC’s motto is “never leave anyone behind” which is why we launched a weekly creative community project. The sessions give an opportunity for the DDN community to come together, create, explore new experiences and meet new friends.
Started in October 2023,TripleC now run free weekly in-person workshops in central Manchester, every Friday 10:30am – 1pm. They are designed to help explore how to channel and showcase your lived experience through various creative avenues.
Hosted by writer Cathy Crabb & facilitated by members of the TripleC team. These workshops are for all experience levels, and the relaxed and structured setting is perfect for learning new skills and meeting people.
A Message From Cathy
Hi, I’m Cathy Crabb and I run the sessions on Fridays.
I’ve been working with TripleC for a few years now, running creative writing sessions online.
I have written plays, screenplays, stories, songs, poetry and articles. I love helping people create their own stories, in any way they want to.
I particularly enjoy meeting new people, and giving them the time and space to escape their normal routine and dive into their imagination.
For The Sessions
The whole idea will be to build a little community in the city centre who would like to escape for a while, meet new people, and do a bit of creating.
There will be biscuits, so don’t worry about that.
Also, there will always be friendly faces you’ll know from TripleC.
And sometimes there will be brilliant guests who may be artists, actors, musicians.
You don’t need to bring anything, just yourself and we hope to see you every week.

The Venue
53two
The Creative Community sessions will take place at 53two, an accessible theatre in the heart of central Manchester.
Close to Deansgate train station & tram stop and a 15 minute walk from Piccadilly bus station. Situated just off Deansgate, round the corner from The Hilton, Beetham Tower.
