Laurence Clark
Over the last few years, Laurence Clark has built on his work as an award-winning stand-up comedian to become a screenwriter. He was selected for 4screenwriting, BBC Writersroom Writers Access Group and won the UKTV Triforce Writerslam. His comedy pilot Perfect was broadcast in August 2022. He has also written for Andy and the Band and 2 episodes of the new sci-fi series Gifted by Black Camel Pictures, both for CBBC. He is co-writing a screenplay with Jack Thorne. He has been an editorial adviser on the portrayal of disabled characters on Disability Benefits (Channel 4), The Responder 2 (BBC) and Lion (BBC/HBO), the latter two on behalf of TripleC.
For TripleC, he leads on the Driving Change in Scotland project and the Channel 4 RISE mentoring scheme, as well as supporting the Access Coordinator Training Programme. He also represents the organisation on the TV Access Project core group, and writes research reports, evaluations and funding applications.
